Join us as an Associate Banker within our Public Sector team. We work closely with public sector clients to understand their objectives, opportunities, and challenges, helping them achieve their ambitions. This role will focus on managing a portfolio of charity clients, ensuring their unique needs are met with tailored financial solutions. We provide expert insight and collaborate with product specialists to deliver exceptional service. As an Associate Banker, you will support Relationship Directors in growing their portfolios and maximising the client experience by striving for excellence in everything you do. Working within a large, dynamic team, you’ll contribute to outstanding customer service, ensure robust risk and control practices, and play a key role in deepening client relationships while supporting business development activities to attract new customers to the Bank.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong relationship management skills, both with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Planning and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Knowledge of digital banking products and services

Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Awareness of public sector banking solutions and AML risk
  • Familiarity with corporate banking operations
  • Knowledge of credit risk processes and policy
  • Commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities for client growth

Purpose of the role

To support Relationship Directors with the growth of their portfolio, Maximising the clients overall experience by striving to be consistently excellent in all they do.

Accountabilities
  • Following, improving and strengthening of controls wherever possible, working collaboratively with Relationship Director to proactively identify and manage risk.
  • Relationship management with Product and Group Partners and act as a conduit for the portfolio. Deliver Products and Services to meet the needs of our clients and balance both short- and long-term consideration.
  • Provision of Support to Relationship Managers/Directors, such as supporting client contact strategy, Annual Reviews and the maintenance of client account plans.
  • Provision of service to clients to drive positive Savanta scores, ensuring servicing activity is directed to the appropriate contact point championing self-serve and digital adoption.
  • Participation in internal training programs and workshops to develop their knowledge of banking products, financial analysis, and relationship management skills.
  • Development and maintenance of industry knowledge dependent on portfolio purity, supporting team industry initiatives.
