Their Private Wealth & Tax group is seeking an experienced solicitor to join their London team advising a diverse range of high net‑worth clients on managing and protecting their assets in the most tax‑efficient manner whilst navigating complex UK and international tax obligations.

The Department

The Private Wealth & Tax group works with clients across major international financial centres including the UK, Europe, the Middle East, the US and Asia. Many clients are internationally mobile with personal wealth and business interests spanning numerous jurisdictions and sectors.

The team provides bespoke solutions for complex tax issues helping clients comply with UK and international tax obligations whilst maximising available reliefs. You’ll work closely with professional fiduciaries, private trustees, family offices and international advisers to navigate legitimate tax mitigation, wealth preservation, asset protection and family governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • UK & International Tax Advisory: Advising on complex UK and international tax matters for individuals and corporates
  • Trust Structuring: Trust structuring, administration, taxation and governance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Asset Protection: Designing asset protection structures for high net‑worth families
  • Wealth Planning: Lifetime planning and wealth planning for internationally mobile clients
  • Cross‑Border Coordination: Coordinating with local and international professional advisers, bankers and family offices
  • Bespoke Solutions: Providing tailored solutions across multiple jurisdictions
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with HNW / UHNW clients
  • Business Development: Contributing to business development activities both internally and externally
  • Technical Excellence: Staying current with UK and international tax developments and legislation
Essential Requirements
  • 3–7 years PQE with strong private wealth and personal tax experience
  • Leading practice background gained at a reputable law firm’s personal tax practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of both onshore and offshore tax
  • Comprehensive understanding of trusts and asset structuring (UK and international)
  • Tax expertise across UK and international jurisdictions
  • Trust law proficiency including structuring, administration and governance
  • Asset structuring knowledge for wealth preservation and protection
  • Competent drafting skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Cross‑border coordination experience with international advisers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritising abilities
  • Relationship building skills with clients, partners and colleagues
  • Proactive and resilient approach with ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Adaptable team player with common‑sense approach to problem‑solving
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of client business objectives
Desirable Skills
  • STEP membership (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners)
