Job description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Technical Officer (ATO) to join our busy and friendly Pharmacy team at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in pharmacy, complementary care, and retail services to support the day‑to‑day running of our outpatient and retail pharmacy.

Responsibilities
  • Support pharmacists with the day‑to‑day running of the dispensary and the retail pharmacy.
  • Retail stock management, processing of various orders, deliveries, invoices and maintaining good record keeping.
  • Daily posting of prescriptions, medicine handling and assistance in dispensing when required.
  • Maintain a clean and well‑organised dispensary and provide friendly counter service to patients and the public.
  • Use IT and computer skills; willingness and commitment to learn are essential.
Qualifications
  • Reliable, organised, adaptable and detail‑oriented.
  • Effective communication and customer‑service skills; able to work well in a team.
  • No prior experience required; an interest in complementary medicine is helpful.
