Job summary

A leading construction recruitment agency is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a new large-scale residential development in Lewes. The role involves supervising finishing trades, ensuring quality work completion, and promoting a safe working environment. Ideal candidates will have SMSTS certification, first aid training, and previous construction site experience. This is a 12-month position with ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on a construction site, ideally commercial or residential.
• Proficiency in managing and supervising finishing trades.
• Ability to maintain detailed records of progress, materials, and labor.

Job title: Assistant Site Manager

Location: Ringmer

Duration: 12 months +

Assistant site manager working on a new large scale residential development, working alongside the site manager.

The role:

• Supervise and manage all finishing trades (e.g., plastering, painting, tiling, joinery, flooring)
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and specification
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify any defects
• Coordinate with the site manager and other foremen to ensure a smooth workflow
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce all health and safety regulations
• Keep detailed records of progress, materials, and labour

The project is a residential build and has a long duration.

About you:

• SMSTS, first aid, gold or black card
• Full PPE (personal protective equipment)
• Previous experience working on a construction site (Ideally commercial or residential)
