Job summary

A regional contractor in South East London is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to assist their commercial team on various civil rail projects. Qualifications

  • Seeking a degree or HNC qualified in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience within civil engineering, particularly rail, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial team with project management.
  • Assist in sub contract procurement and managing existing sub contractors.
  • Attend CVR Meetings and prepare monthly reports.

A Regional Contractor specialising in Civil Rail are looking for a Junior/ Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on projects within their Network Rail Framework. Projects can range from £500k – £10m in value and the candidate will be heavily involved in assisting the commercial team on a number of projects.The
Ideal candidate will be:

– Degree or HNC Qualified in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management
– Some experience within civil engineering, specifically rail
– Be looking to progress within a career in Quantity Surveying
– Have a basic understanding on NEC and potentially NR contracts

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial team with running of various projects
  • Assist with sub contract procurement
  • Managing existing sub contractors
  • Attending CVR Meetings
  • Client liaison
  • Monthly Reports
  • Working closely with operational teams to secure best commercial result
