Your new role
Our client is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to build their career with a successful contractor, gaining exposure to a variety of projects within a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities
will include:

Assisting
the commercial team with cost planning, forecasting, and reporting on multiple projects.

Preparing
and processing subcontractor orders, payments, and variations.

Supporting
the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.

Assisting
in the production of bills of quantities and tender documents.

Liaising
with site teams to monitor progress and ensure accurate cost tracking.

Ensuring
compliance with company procedures, contracts, and health & safety standards.

Building
strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

What you will need to succeed:

A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or working towards one).

Previous experience in an Assistant QS role, ideally within groundworks, civil engineering, or construction.

Strong
numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

Proficiency
in MS Office (Excel in particular).

Strong
communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

A proactive and ambitious attitude with a desire to progress in a commercial career.
