Job summary
We are seeking two motivated Assistant Psychologists to join our Newham Emotional and Behavioral (E&B) team, working in the Front Door Team (FDT) and Neurodevelopmental Team (NDT). One post will support the clinical work of the FDT by processing new referrals, liaising with referrers, assisting with consultations, and contributing to the screening pathway for ADHD and Autism.
The other post will support clinicians in providing a specialist service within CAMHS to neurodivergent children, young people, and their families. This community-based role offers evidence-based episodes of care, including assessments, formulation, and group/individual interventions.
Main duties include opportunities to learn and consolidate clinical skills in various modalities, receive weekly supervision with a clinical psychologist, co-run workshops and groups, shadow or conduct psychometric testing under supervision, and support audits and data management with FDT/NDT Clinical Leads.
The post holders will contribute to a positive multidisciplinary team environment and may undertake specialist pathway work. This position provides valuable experience for those aiming to pursue a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with opportunities for professional development and supervision.
