This is an exciting role where you will work closely with our Forensic Psychologist and Clinical Psychologist, playing a key part in delivering assessments, interventions and service development while developing invaluable clinical skills for your future career.

Job responsibilities

The role:

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a key role within our multi-disciplinary, supporting clinicians across a variety of tasks. While full details will be shared at interview, your responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Conduct psychometric assessments
  • Score, analyse, and summarise assessment data
  • Provide observational notes to support clinical formulation
  • Deliver 1:1 and group psychological interventions under supervision
  • Assist with therapeutic group planning and facilitation
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings and manage clinical queries under supervision
  • Support research, audit, and service evaluation
  • Maintain psychometric resources and clinical documentation

Qualifications

Experience

  • Understanding of the Mental Health Act and mental health services would be an advantage
  • Previous Assistant Psychologist or applied clinical experience is desirable but not essential - what matters most is your capability, potential and passion for learning
