Job summary

A national construction contractor is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Somerset. The successful candidate will manage project information, liaise with supply chain teams, and support the Project Manager. A background in Tier 1 main contracting is essential, along with excellent communication skills. This role is a 6-month contract with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 Main contracting background with prior experience performing a similar role.
• Experience ideally on flagship projects.
• Sound communication skills.

Assistant Project Manager – Somerset – ASAP Start!

A well reputed, national contractor with a proven track record in delivering inspiring construction solutions to a range of public sectors is looking to compliment their team, with the addition of a motivated and diligent Assistant Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project information – documents, drawings and processes – to keep on top of the project trackers and ensure delivery to key milestones.
• Liaise with supply chain delivery teams and senior management; monitor changes to specifications, project variations or additional works; act as full support to the Project Manager.
• Work on a sensitive accommodation scheme and maintain operational delivery processes to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 Main contracting background with prior experience performing a similar role, ideally on flagship projects.
• Sound communication skills and a broad technical understanding.

Contract & Location

This is a 6 month PAYE/PAYE Umbrella contract with potential for extension thereafter. The role requires working from the office and from site, and must be Somerset based.
