Job Description

The salary for this role is £37,509. Onsite working is expected for 4 days a week, however we actively support requests for flexible working.

This role can be based at any of the following sites: Rotherham, West Yorkshire / Culham, Oxfordshire.

This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.

The Role

As Assistant Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in working with Project Managers on a variety of projects, ensuring that they are executed to a high standard according to established project and engineering management processes. This involves supporting technical projects by coordinating the planning and execution of small projects, creating and managing key documentation, tracking project budget utilisation and schedule, keeping records on server and SharePoint databases, and coordinating and providing information for the assigned projects.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Analysing project data (including finances) and producing standard project reports
  • Project secretarial duties including organising meetings and taking minutes
  • Coordinating the timely close out of project actions
  • Managing project changes and deviation documents
  • Manage the FT Job Card System
  • Support the broader FT team to ensure project success
Qualifications
  • A HNC or degree with two or more years' experience of project support work
  • IT literate, fluent in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent report/minutes writing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Be able to work autonomously, with initiative and minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of managing the interfaces and interdependencies for technical projects
