Overview

Assistant Manager - Full Time. We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This is a permanent full-time position with a variety of shifts across 5 days per week (usually including at least one weekend shift).

Please note that for full-time positions we require you to be fully flexible in your availability throughout the week, including weekends.

Pay and benefits

The salary offered for this position is between £30,240.00 - £33,948.94 per annum on a 43 hour contract.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to our customers.
  • Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
  • Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed promptly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
  • Motivate and guide your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
  • Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

  • A 'people person' who can build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Trustworthy and reliable as you will be part of a small team.
  • Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
