A leading energy company in Worthing is seeking a finance professional to prepare monthly management accounts and reports. This role involves supporting finance operations and compliance activities. Ideal candidates will have a foundational understanding of accounting along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. In this role you will support the Management Accountant by preparing monthly management accounts and reports, while also contributing to the daily operations of the Finance Department.
This hands-on role offers a broad scope of responsibilities, including preparing key month-end workpapers and reconciliations, ensuring high-quality and error-free journal entries, and producing clear, actionable cost and opex reports for stakeholders across the business. Beyond the month-end cycle, the role supports the smooth running of finance operations by processing employee expenses, assisting with statutory accounts and audits, and contributing to key compliance activities such as tax filings and external reporting. With opportunities to collaborate across teams, including AP and AR, and to step in during staff absences, this is a fast-paced and rewarding role at the heart of the organisation\'s financial operations.
Hybrid working typically means 2 days in the office location listed on this advert and 3 days working at home each week. Some occasional travel to our other offices may be required.
