Overview

Assistant Locality Manager – Gateshead. Full time – 37.5 hours per week (37.5 hours off-rota). Salary: £36,536 per annum.

Are you an experienced team leader or deputy manager ready to take the next step in your career? Dimensions are offering a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, resilient, and driven Assistant Locality Manager to join our homes in Gateshead.

You’ll play a key role in managing high-quality support for adults with learning disability, autism, and behaviours of distress. This role demands someone who can confidently lead by example, communicate clearly (both written and verbal), and manage multiple priorities, from rota planning and risk assessments to 1:1s and staff supervisions.

Key responsibilities
  • The role includes 5 off-rota days per week to focus on key managerial tasks: staff performance reviews, booking training, ensuring compliance, updating support plans and systems, attending reviews and stakeholder meetings, and contributing to continuous home improvement.
  • You’ll also be expected to stay connected to the people we support and lead by example.
  • Flexibility is key, including occasional weekend support, covering shifts in emergencies, spot checks on nights, and participating in our on-call rota.
  • Lead with integrity and purpose, ensuring professional boundaries, time management, and high standards.
About you

You already have proven professional qualities, including:

  • Experience of working with people with a wide range of needs, for example, autism and complex learning disabilities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the personalisation agenda and active support provision.
  • The willingness to work towards a Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Leadership and Management for Care Services.
