Job description

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Barnsley area as they look to recruit an Assistant Finance Business Partner into their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Review key financial data of live commercial projects, ensuring accounting integrity at period ends.
  • Prepare Cost Value Reviews (CVRs) for completed projects to maintain a commercial focus on live projects.
  • Collate and summarize information from multiple sites to provide overview analysis to finance and non-financial managers.
  • Work with quantity surveyors to produce accurate weekly contract receipt forecasts for inclusion in the cash flow forecast.
  • Ensure accuracy of cash spreadsheets, including controls and monitoring forecast information.
  • Challenge contract cash positions with commercial teams when reviewing payments.
  • Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to manage internal controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Support the timely completion of the annual insurance questionnaire with the insurance broker.
  • Implement and deliver improved performance, management information, and support corporate goals.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Manage continuous improvement and take on additional duties as required.
  • Produce management accounts information to support budgets and forecasts.
  • Build good working relationships with budget holders, influencing and challenging as necessary.
Requirements:
  • CIMA or ACCA qualification (or working towards).
