Job description

We're looking for an Assistant Field Technician to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in Kings Lynn working on the Anglian Water Alliance.

Location: Ipswitch.

Hours: 40 hours per week.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

The water industry is an exciting and vital sector to join as we enter the new five-year (2025 - 2030) AMP8 regulatory period. It's the perfect time to step into a growing industry that offers innovative opportunities to shape a sustainable future, drive environmental impact and contribute to ambitious goals for clean water and resilient infrastructure.

This role is part of the IMRDS alliance (integrated maintenance, repair and development services), which maintain the water supply systems, handle emergencies like water bursts and develop new ways to better service customers.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy water leakage equipment to listen underground to detect leakage noises from pipes so that data can be used to plan works across the region.
  • Read and interpret water maps and transfer data to your tablets.
  • Interact with customers on a daily basis.
Qualifications
  • No experience required; full training will be provided.
  • Hold a full driving licence.
  • Will receive nationally recognised training such as EUSR water hygiene, Blue Card, Streetworks and Manual Handling training certifications to successfully carry out the role.
  • Transferable skills are welcome; even if you don't tick every box, applications are encouraged.
