About Us

Santa Pod Raceway is the UK’s most action-packed venue and the home of European Drag Racing. We host a wide variety of motorsport events, including two rounds of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship and some of the biggest car shows on the calendar.

We are expanding our established events team and looking for a motivated Assistant Event Organiser to help deliver exceptional experiences for our visitors.

Role Overview

As an Assistant Event Organiser, you will play a vital role in the planning, logistics, and delivery of events. From coordinating suppliers and content to supporting marketing activities, you’ll be at the heart of making every event a success.

This role is perfect for someone with strong organisational skills, creativity, and a passion for live events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and arrange the booking of attractions and sideshows at key events.
  • Support all aspects of event planning and delivery, including:
    • Producing promotional and event materials
    • Coordinating content for magazines, websites, and social media
    • Arranging staff and scheduling teams
    • Assisting with event layout and logistics
    • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to meet deadlines.
  • Write engaging copy for event websites, guides, press releases, and newsletters.
What We’re Looking For
  • Confident computer skills (MS Office suite essential).
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • A professional and proactive approach with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work multiple weekends during the season (March – October).
  • Previous experience in the events or leisure industry is desirable.
