Job summary

A well-established commercial fencing contractor in Hartlepool is seeking an Assistant Contracts Manager to work alongside the Contracts Manager in coordinating planning and installation of commercial fencing products. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, motivated, and proficient in IT systems, especially Excel. Involvement in the sales process and experience in construction are preferred. Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotations from customer enquiries and site surveys.
  • Maximize sales of services to new and existing customers.
  • Process project drawings and technical instructions for material manufacture.
  • Assist with project Risk Management and Health & Safety compliance documentation.
  • Handle departmental administration.

Assistant Contracts Manager
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Peart Fencing Contractors are a well-established Commercial Fencing Contractor, who can trace their roots back to 1923. Operating within the business-to-business sector of the North East, with clients ranging from Petro-Chemical plants to Schools and Nurseries, with no domestic work undertaken. Well positioned within the industry for the design, manufacture, supply and installation of high-end quality products and bespoke fencing solutions.

Peart Fencing Contractors are part of a group of companies, which includes Peart Fencing Ltd, a specialist manufacturer supplying commercial steel fencing products nationwide.

The Role:

An office-based role, working alongside the Contracts Manager to co-ordinate the planning, design, manufacture and safe installation of commercial fencing products across the North East.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quotations from customer enquiries and site surveys (site surveys undertaken by the Contracts Manager)
  • Following the enquiry and quoting process through to order stage, maximizing the sale of company services to new and existing customers
  • Processing project drawings and technical instructions to internal departments, to facilitate job-specific materials manufacture
  • Assisting with project Risk Management and Health & Safety compliance documentation
  • Departmental administration

The Person:

  • Have a desire to pursue a career in Contracts Management
  • Practical minded with an attention to detail and the ability to work accurately is essential
  • Well-organised, self-motivated with an enthusiastic attitude towards the sales process
  • Confident with IT systems and proficient in Microsoft, Word and particularly Excel (Excel experience is essential)
  • Experience of preparing proposals and estimates an advantage (Full training will be provided)
  • Construction industry experience preferred
