A leading corporate governance firm in Leeds is seeking an Assistant Consultant to support a range of governance tasks and client engagements. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals while pursuing relevant qualifications. Our award winning Corporate Governance team, a part of MUFG Corporate Markets, a division of MUFG Pension & Market Services, is one of the largest company secretarial providers in the UK and is well-known for its expertise in corporate governance advisory services and company secretarial administration.
The Assistant Consultant role provides you with an opportunity to work closely with experienced governance professionals in the delivery of a broad range of tasks, including meeting support, statutory and regulatory compliance and corporate governance best practice advice to clients, including London-listed public companies.
In our Corporate Governance team, we know you as an Assistant Consultant, but you may know the roles as a Company Secretarial Assistant or a Company Secretarial Trainee, leading to a career as a Company Secretary.
The professional development of our team members and ensuring they have the knowledge to deliver to our varied client base is at the heart of what we do. We have a supportive team culture that helps identify learning opportunities and encourages improvement. You’ll work towards the Chartered Secretary / Governance Professional qualification by receiving relevant work experience and having the opportunity to complete your professional studies, if required.
The Assistant Consultant role is based on a hybrid basis from either our central London office or our city centre Leeds office. You’ll need to be within a commutable distance of one of the offices to enable you to spend valuable face to face time with your colleagues each week.
