Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of building and civil engineering construction methods, ideally from a major contractor or client organisation, gained in the UK.
• Good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, including CDM.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce contract specifications and tender documentation.
• Prepare accurate and properly costed designs and project estimations.
• Maintain regular on-site presence and liaise with contractors.
• Monitor budgets by reviewing valuations and variations to contract.
• Prepare well-defined, financially viable, and legally sound contract documents.

Skills

Knowledge of building and civil engineering construction methods

Good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

Ability to work independently and in a team

Working knowledge of AutoCAD

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering or HNC/equivalent with experience
