About the Role

In this Band 2 role, you\'ll be instrumental in delivering high-quality Electrical Installation education and/or Plumbing, guiding learners with your technical expertise and passion for the trade. You\'ll work with state-of-the-art equipment in a modern, well-resourced environment designed to reflect real-world industry standards. You\'ll support the operational delivery of our Plumbing and Electrical programmes, helping manage staff and resources to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment. As part of the area\'s management team, you\'ll contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement, collaborating with colleagues to strengthen the department\'s impact across the College. Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified electrician to level 3 or above in Electrical Installation/maintenance or Qualified plumber to level 3 or above in Plumbing & a Gas Safe registration.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics - GCSE grade 4+ or equivalent
  • Level 5 Teaching Qualification / open to completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course
  • Assessor/Verifier Awards or a willingness to achieve within six months of starting the position.
Essential Experience
  • Proven experience in successfully leading teams or managing staff within an educational or professional setting.
  • A strong background in training or teaching, with a proactive approach to curriculum development, course promotion, and marketing.
  • Solid hands-on trade experience within the electrical or related industries.
