About the Business

An opportunity to be an Assistant Accountant for a successful services company based in Worcester. This fast-paced business is looking for a solid candidate who is comfortable handling finance matters within a large business and offers a chance to be part of an expanding team.

This is a varied, hands-on Assistant Accountant Role which involves:

The focus of the role will be to bridge the gap between transactional finance and management accounts. It involves assisting the management accountant with management accounting duties, reports, and the wider finance function.

The extent of your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers including supplier accruals & prepayments payment runs
  • Compiling various data to assist in the preparation of month end accounting procedures.
  • Assist with carrying out various month end procedures. This would most likely include, as examples:
    • Bank reconciliations, Debtors, Creditors, Prepayments, Accruals.
  • Transactional Finance
  • Variance analysis
  • Other ad-hoc duties
  • We are looking for a confident, reliable person, who is committed, able to cope in a pressured environment

The role offers a hybrid working model requiring 3 days in their modern Worcester office and 2 days working.
