Are you ready to take the next big step in your finance career? This is your chance to join a forward-thinking organisation and be part of a team driving real change. As an Assistant Accountant, you won't just crunch numbers; you'll play a key role in shaping the financial heartbeat of a business that's investing in its people, its technology, and its future.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to build their expertise, gain exposure across the full finance function, and contribute to a growing and evolving organisation where your ideas and initiative will be valued.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Support the month-end process, preparing and posting journals (including payroll, accruals, and prepayments).
  • Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations with precision to ensure financial accuracy and control.
  • Manage revenue recognition and ensure all reporting is timely and accurate.
  • Assist with monthly management accounts, departmental budgets, and the annual audit.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns in line with compliance requirements.
  • Handle intercompany charges and reconciliations to maintain accurate group reporting.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process to support informed decision-making.
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring correct depreciation and asset tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies within finance systems and processes.
What we’re looking for:
  • Solid accounting experience with a good grasp of the numbers and how they drive the business.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset. You spot issues early and enjoy finding better ways to do things.
  • Confidence with Excel and finance systems, using them to streamline work and make reporting more efficient.
  • Calm under pressure, able to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities without losing focus.
  • A clear, confident communicator who builds strong working relationships across teams.
