  • Support account managers by providing financial records.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable alongside our Finance Assistant.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Manage staff expenses and company card processes.
  • Support month-end close: accruals, prepayments, journals.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, auditors and accountants.

Overview

This is an exciting chance for a part-qualified accountant to gain broad exposure across the full finance function. The role is designed to grow with you, offering the opportunity to step into a Finance Controller position as the business expands. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of core finance processes, strengthen financial controls and play a key role in transitioning management accounts in-house.

Since fitting out our state-of-the-art clean rooms and manufacturing facility in 2019, we have continued to invest in our infrastructure to better serve our customers and enhance operational efficiency.

What will you do?
  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of Accounts Receivable, including matching deposits and final payments, resolving unidentified transactions, and maintaining clean sales ledgers
  • Support account managers by providing accurate financial records on client orders and payments
  • Oversee and support Accounts Payable alongside our Finance Assistant, ensuring accurate coding, payment runs and supplier reconciliations
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve unreconciled items promptly
  • Manage staff expenses and company card processes (we use Pleo, but experience with any expense platform is welcome)
  • Support month-end close: accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, auditors and external accountants on routine matters
What We’re Looking For
  • AAT qualified and/or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified (study support available)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals (double-entry, reconciliations, journals)
  • Confident Excel user (pivot tables, lookups, basic modelling)
  • Detail-oriented with a strong controls mindset
  • Familiarity with Xero and other finance systems is desirable
  • Ambitious, proactive, and motivated to develop towards a Finance Controller role in the future
  • Bonus: Experience in manufacturing or other product-based businesses would be an advantage, but is not essential
