Overview

A global private investment firm is seeking an Asset Management Analyst / Associate to join its New York-based team. The role supports portfolio management across several closed-end funds with exposure to diverse asset classes including industrial, retail, multifamily, office, data centers, student housing, and senior housing. This is a mostly in-office position offering hands-on experience in fund-level strategy and asset performance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain investment and fund-level financial models using Excel and Argus
  • Conduct quarterly valuations using DCF, market cap rates, and sales comps
  • Prepare investment return projections, variance analyses, and market research
  • Review property budgets, business plans, and quarterly reforecasts
  • Analyze leases, loan documents, and partnership agreements
  • Support property dispositions and broker coordination
  • Perform refinancing, sell / hold, and leasing NPV / NER analyses
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual investor reports and presentations
  • Gather and incorporate economic data and growth projections into portfolio updates
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, or related field
  • Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals, leases, financing, and capital structures
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Argus; strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Mentoring experience is a plus
