The Role & Key Responsibilities

Job Title: Assessor Coordinator - Maternity Cover - 15 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: UK - Homebased (Occasional travel to our sites around the UK is required).

Package includes: Salary from £28,000, plus a benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and a matched pension contribution of up to 10%.

AB Sustain is a specialist supply chain and Ag Technology management company, enabling retailers, brand owners and manufacturers to navigate through complex issues in their supply chain and deliver positive impacts to their stakeholders.

This role will contribute to our core strength in gathering and analysing agricultural data, through forming expert partnerships to drive best practice and by using technologies to minimise the burden on suppliers.

The Assessor Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and integrity of assessment processes. Through effective scheduling, support, and communication, the Assessor Coordinator ensures assessors are well-prepared, aligned with standards, and equipped to deliver fair, timely, and high-quality assessments. This role strengthens organisational performance by reducing assessment errors, improving completion rates, and supporting continuous quality improvement across all training and assessment activities.

The Assessor Coordinator also acts as the primary liaison between assessors, account managers, and leadership. By identifying gaps, monitoring performance, and implementing improvement strategies, the Assessor Coordinator enhances operational efficiency, contributes to accreditation readiness, and upholds the organisation’s reputation for excellence in assessment.

What you'll be doing
  • Management of assessor contracts and payment schedules
  • Action assessor queries/issues when needed
  • Prepare and carry out assessor training
  • Complete shadow assessments with all assessors
  • Ensure assessor resources are allocated effectively for the timely completion of assessments.
  • Recruiting assessors as needed to ensure resource requirements are met
  • Prepare/send out assessment progress data to customers
  • Data Quality Checking and Report creation.
  • Work with the Commercial Manager, Account Managers, Service Delivery Team and Data Analysis Team
  • Conduct on farm assessments as required.
What you'll bring
  • Experience/knowledge of livestock, ruminant and/or Dairy
  • Ability/experience to communicate effectively with retail and processor customers, farmers and internal teams
  • Quality Control, problem solving and time management
  • Knowledge of (or interest in) Carbon measuring programmes
  • Self motivated, an eye for detail and high standards of delivery in all aspects of work
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Familiar with Office Applications (Excel and Word) at an intermediate proficiency
