Job description

A well-respected manufacturer based near Newmarket is looking to expand its production team with hands-on, practical Assembly Operatives. Specialising in high-spec antennas for global commercial, military, and satellite markets, this company is seeking motivated individuals to support their growing order book.

All applicants must have access to their own vehicle to commute to this site

As an Assembly Operative, you'll work on the production of advanced antenna and satellite modules, cutting materials, soldering components, and using a variety of tools to bring precision-built units to life.

Assembly Operative Duties:

  • Assembling satellite and antenna units/modules with precision
  • Soldering and cutting components to specification
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Following work instructions and technical drawings (training provided)
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
  • Collaborating with a supportive team in a workshop environment

Who are we looking for?

  • A willingness to learn and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Must drive and have access to your own vehicle (no public transport available)
  • Assembly, soldering, or production experience is a bonus, but not essential

Pay & Hours:

  • 13.65 p/hour
  • Monday to Thursday, 08:30 - 16:30
  • Friday, 08:30 - 16:00 (early finish!)
  • 37-hour work week
  • Flexible working hours available after probation
  • Overtime available
  • On-site parking
  • Temporary ongoing position with the potential to go permanent

Previous assembly experience is advantageous but not essential. If you have a great attitude, are keen to learn, and enjoy hands-on work, they're ready to train the right person.
