Role Summary

As an Assembly Fitter, you will engage in in-process and final deburring, inspection, testing, and assembly of machined components. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that each product meets our high-quality standards and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform deburring and dressing of machined components using tools to prepare them for final inspection.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of components throughout the assembly process.
  • Conduct various tests, including fluid gravity and pressure tests, to validate component functionality.
  • Inspect components against engineering drawings using precision tools such as micrometres and vernier callipers.
  • Identify and implement effective inspection methods to enhance quality control.
  • Log non-conformities in the system and maintain accurate inspection status.
  • Record quality data and ensure thorough documentation for traceability.
  • Support compliance with quality system procedures and embrace 5S principles within the department.
Candidate Requirements
  • Background in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, quality plans, and specifications.
  • Experience with precision equipment assembly, especially hydraulic and pneumatic pipe assemblies, is advantageous.
