In line with our exciting growth within Aseptic Services, we are currently looking for a motivated Production Manager to join our dynamic Aseptic Services team, where we manufacture life-saving cancer drugs.

Responsibilities
- Provide senior management to all Aseptic Production Staff
- Ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation to obtain the required quality
- Approve the instructions relating to production operations and ensure their strict implementation
- Ensure production records are evaluated and signed by an authorised person before they are sent to the quality control department
- Assist in all aspects of daily operations including cleaning, environment monitoring, and assembly of raw materials
- Check the accuracy of technical aspects of the assembly and compounding process after department training is complete
- Ensure that Best Practice is followed and systems are kept up to standard
- Follow unplanned incidences and out of specification procedures
- Regularly review and update working practices and relevant policies/SOPs where needed
- Follow the Change Request system to plan and implement quality improvements
- Allocate daily workloads amongst team members in line with departmental targets and customer demand
- Effectively manage workload allocation and staff to ensure high quality and maximum productivity
- Manage staff rotas
- Build and manage a high-performing, collaborative team aligned with the Group's values
- Ensure appropriate level of resource and expertise is in place and structured to deliver the strategy
- Ensure team members have clear objectives aligned with KPIs and strategy
- Ensure development plans are in place and regularly reviewed for all team members
- Provide regular feedback to direct reports and address underperformance
- Communicate key messages from across the Group to the team
- Identify top talent and ensure plans to retain, engage and maximise potential
- Recognise and celebrate success at team and individual levels
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a management position
- A recognised management qualification is desirable although not essential
- A formal qualification in science or people management would be advantageous
- Previous experience in a licensed facility or under a section 10 exemption
- Values teamwork, supportiveness, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards
- Ability to work towards KPIs and an interest in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Attention to detail: Aseptic environment requires precision and adherence to legislation at all times
- Ability to detect and address minor imperfections such as particles or contaminants, damaged containers, or misalignment in machine components
- Discipline and focus: adhere to strict guidelines without shortcuts
- Physical demands: capable of repetitive processes, remaining stationary for extended periods, and working in protective clothing while maintaining aseptic techniques
- High levels of concentration to avoid errors
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously without deviation
- Commitment to hygiene and cleanliness, including strict handwashing, gowning and personal hygiene protocols
- Resilience under pressure in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with machinery and aseptic processes
- Comfort with using monitoring systems and understanding documentation
