Job description

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a passionate and adaptable Teacher to join a well-supported mainstream school with a Resourced Provision for PMLD. This mid to long-term opportunity begins January and is suitable for teachers from Primary, Inclusion, or Secondary subject backgrounds who are confident working across a range of learner needs.

The role includes teaching ASDAN qualifications (Entry Level to Level 1) to a Sensory Class and mainstream Year 10/11 option groups, delivering Key Stage 3 English, and providing direct intervention/small-group support. The school is inclusive, welcoming, and committed to high-quality teaching and learning for all. You will work within a collaborative team that supports both mainstream and specialist pathways.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience within Primary, Secondary, or Inclusion settings
• Willing and able to deliver ASDAN qualifications
• Skilled in adapting schemes of work for Sensory, pre-formal and KS1-level learners, as well as mainstream SEN/Level 1
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

Eligibility Requirements

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years
