Artificial Insemination Technician – Dairy Genetics – West Lancashire - Basic Salary to £38,000 + Vehicle + Enhanced Benefits Package

The Job: We are recruiting on behalf of a leading livestock genetics company for an experienced AI Technician to join their expanding team. This is a field-based role providing on-farm artificial insemination (AI) services to both dairy and beef producers, with a strong focus on reproductive performance and genetic advancement. You’ll be working closely with farmers and internal technical teams to deliver high-quality breeding outcomes, while also providing guidance on herd reproduction planning and genetic decision-making. This is a fantastic opportunity to work hands-on with industry-leading cattle genetics and play a key role in herd improvement across your assigned region.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in artificial insemination of cattle (AI Certification preferred)
  • Strong understanding of bovine reproduction, heat detection, and breeding cycles
  • Comfortable working independently on-farm and engaging directly with producers
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
  • Passion for livestock genetics and herd improvement
  • Full UK (or equivalent) driving licence and flexibility to travel regionally
  • Experience with genomic selection, EBVs, or herd management software is advantageous but not essential
