Art Therapist Sedgemoor Manor School • Highbridge, Somerset

Overview

Sedgemoor Manor School are recruiting an Art Therapist to join our Therapy team. We are seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals with a passion for ASD and sensory processing disorders. The successful candidate will join a multi‑disciplinary team and work closely with Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals to support students. This role reports to the Therapy Manager.

Qualifications
  • HCPC registered
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs is essential
  • Awareness of Sensory Processing Disorders and the application of sensory integration theory in practice; you will demonstrate a dynamic and creative approach to delivering treatment approaches
Responsibilities

This role will have a strategic element, whereby you will assess, deliver and review therapeutic provision to our young people. You must be proactive in disseminating best ways of working to the wider support team and will be confident to deliver onsite profession specific training to colleagues as and when required. Working in close partnership with a diverse team of Therapy and educational specialists to deliver tailored support that meets the needs of each young person. You will be joining a supportive and experienced team of dedicated support staff, committed to delivering the very best care. Continuously within your role you will be actively encouraged and supported to remain up to date with CPD and both internal and external training opportunities are available to you.
