Overview

Maternity Cover from February to August 2026. We are seeking to appoint an innovative teacher who can teach Art to GCSE and A level. Skilled artists who are not qualified teachers are also welcome to apply if they have previous teaching experience.

About the Art Department

The Art Department is a creative and collaborative environment with contemporary bright studios where students can explore, experiment, work together and innovate. Our teachers are practicing artists and students are exposed to a range of visual sources, artists and movements, giving them greater context and inspiration for the work they produce.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Art to GCSE and A level (KS4/KS5) and contribute to the department's ongoing development.
  • Demonstrate potential to be an outstanding classroom practitioner, instil a passion for the subject, and play a full and active role in all aspects of school life at Lingfield.
  • Work as a self-reflective professional who can operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Engage in ongoing personal development to achieve professional goals.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent) or be a skilled artist with previous teaching experience. Newly qualified teachers are welcome.

This role is available on a full-time basis as maternity cover.

Closing date for applications: 9:00am, Monday 6 October 2025.

Interviews to be held: Monday 13 October 2025.
