Job description
Overview

As the Recruitment and Training Administrative Officer, you will work under the officer responsible for Recruiting and Training for the Army Legal Services and will provide direct support to potential candidates that wish to join the Army and coordinate the booking of all training for legal officers.

ALS Recruiting (support of the National Recruiting Centre)
  • You will be responsible for analysing information (attraction, interview, Army Officer Selection Board) to produce suitable Solicitors and Barristers to commission into Army Legal Services (ALS).
  • You will follow processes to deliver the quota of inflow into the Army Legal Services.
  • You will work as part of a team to meet responsibilities.
ALS Legal Training
  • You will be responsible for organising and administrating Training (Initial Legal Training to new ALS Officers, career legal courses and Continuous Professional Development).
  • You will follow process to ensure the correct officers are identified for the correct training and booking of training.
Main responsibilities
  • Organisation and administration of ALS recruiting.
  • Organisation and administration of ALS Insight Visits.
  • Organisation and administration of Military Law Training.
  • Keep ALS officers individual training records up to date.
  • Assist with co-ordination of all aspects of Phase 1A, 1C and 2A Initial Officers Course (IOC).
  • Maintain a spreadsheet of ALS officer security clearances bringing to their attention when their clearance needs to be renewed.
