Area Sales Manager

Europe Central South, Middle East Africa

This role involves frequent international travel. When not travelling, you will be based at our Water Technologies offices in Lane End, High Wycombe.

Permanent, Full-time, Monday - Friday 37 hours

We are seeking a hunter spirit and driven Area Sales Manager to join our Veolia Science and Healthcare Division, the global pioneer in Laboratory Water Purification Technology. If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading, well respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role within the Water Technologies - Science & Healthcare sales team.

Your mission;

  • Drive regional sales growth plan while providing Water Technologies Science and Healthcare Teams with valuable Market Insights and Product feedback

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for each business unit to consistently exceed Targets Sales metric driven (KPIs)

  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, developing lead generation as well as focusing on key accounts to achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals.

  • Collaborate with all company stakeholders to set ambitious growth targets and implement high-impact strategies

How will you do this?

  • Engage and influence clients at all levels, building strong, long-term relationships

  • Craft compelling business proposals, sales plans, and contracts in collaboration with Water Technologies - S&H teams

  • Lead and develop regular customer meetings to strengthen partnerships and drive long-term success

  • Stay ahead of the competition by monitoring market trends and identifying new growth opportunities

Qualifications

What you will bring;

  • Understanding of laboratory instrumentation workflows and key drivers

  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce would be an advantage)

  • Knowledge of business metrics, typically bookings, revenue and margins

  • Proven experience in sales forecasting

  • Strong balance of sales hunting and account management skills

  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth

  • Experience managing third-party channels and global accounts

  • Presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Expertise in strategic sales planning and business development

  • Experience working in international markets

  • Strong communication skills to drive collaboration across regional and national teams

  • Ability to secure and manage high‑value international deals

Skills and Experience;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field or sales (Master’s / MBA preferred)

  • Extensive sales experience in the scientific / lab equipment industry (up to 8 years)

  • Strong technical knowledge of pure water principles and the ELGA product range.

  • Proficient in Google Suite

  • Business-conscious and commercially astute

  • Fluent in English, with additional European languages being a plus
