Overview

My client is a leading supplier of Mechanical Handling, Truck maintenance and Plant Machinery Services. They are currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager to bolster their team in Barnstaple. The ideal candidate will come from a Field Sales background, have previous Business Development experience and be familiar with plant machinery and Equipment hire. You will need to be based within a commutable distance of Barnstaple and be prepared to travel with the role to be considered for this vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Generating revenue through a mixture of new business and retained customers
• Winning new business and customers through a range of techniques
• Managing key accounts and developing existing relationships
• Travelling to customer sites throughout the South West as well as nationally when required
• Spending one day in the depot per week as required

Requirements

• A strong background in Field Sales is essential
• Proficient at winning new business through a range of techniques
• Strong knowledge of Plant Machinery, equipment hires, lifting services etc.
• Prepared to travel throughout the South West
• Full Clean Driving licence
• Based within a reasonable distance of Barnstaple
