An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as Area Practice Manager for the Merseyside region.

You'll have the chance to lead and support our teams across Ellesmere Port, Birkenhead, Rhyl, and Liverpool, helping to drive operational excellence and team engagement across multiple sites.

This position will be based working between our Ellesmere Port and Rhyl sites, with regular travel across the region. You will oversee and support the dual-site Practice Manager responsible for our Liverpool and Birkenhead locations.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in a multi-site environment, ideally within the healthcare sector. You'll be commercially aware, with strong people skills and a passion for delivering excellence through your teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong, supportive line management to Practice Managers, Vets, Nurses, and Support Staff, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Take accountability for the financial performance of all sites, including a solid understanding of P&L management, KPIs, and cost control.
  • Accountability for ensuring regulatory compliance across the region including Practice standards.
  • Drive an outstanding client journey, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the clinical team to uphold high clinical standards and best practices.
  • Lead any area expansion, overseeing the introduction of new sites.
  • Maintain accountability for staffing levels and rota management, ensuring productivity across all teams.
  • Participate in an on-call rota to support out-of-hours teams, particularly during weekends and bank holidays.
Hours of Work
  • Monday - Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • Share of operational on-call 1:8 weekends rota with TOIL (Time Off in Lieu)
