A local council in the UK is seeking an Area Practice Manager to lead the Weymouth and Portland Locality Team. This full-time position involves managing Social Workers and Assessment Coordinators, with a focus on implementing changes in Adult Social Care. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Weymouth and Portland Locality Team as an Area Practice Manager. This is a full time role at 37 hours a week and is available for a 18 month fixed term contract with the potential to extend.
This is a key leadership role, and you will be leading and managing Social Workers and Assessment and Support Coordinators as well as supporting the wider team, working closely with our partner organisations in delivering best outcomes for the people of Weymouth and Portland.
We are looking for candidates with a strong strength-based approach who can lead, motivate, and develop teams. This is an exciting time to lead within Adult Social Care as you will be involved in transforming the way we work and have an integral role in positively leading and implementing change to meet both organisational and customer demand. We offer hybrid and flexible working.
You are required to have a degree in Social Work or Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England or the Health and Care Professional Council.
