Area Housing Manager


Full-time, Permanent


9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday


Agile Work Across Dorset


Salary : Up to £50,000 per year


Are you ready to lead and inspire a team that makes a real difference in people’s lives? We are seeking a passionate and results‑driven Area Housing Manager to join a dynamic Housing Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee excellent housing management services across a diverse portfolio, including general needs, supported housing, and intensive management accommodation.


We are looking for an experienced, people‑focused leader who :



  • Has a strong background in housing management, including tenancy, income, allocations, voids, and estates.

  • Can lead and motivate a team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

  • Works proactively with customers and partners to deliver person‑centred services.

  • Thrives in a changing environment and embraces innovation.

  • Brings resilience, empathy, and a problem‑solving mindset to everything they do.

  • Champions regulatory compliance, value for money, and service excellence.


Key Requirements :



  • Experience managing housing or supported housing teams previously

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, external partners, contractors, and a diverse range of customers.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and children.

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and decision‑making skills
