Job description

ARCh Reading Helpers go into primary schools for 30 minute 1:1 reading sessions with children struggling with reading, confidence and wellbeing. All of our sessions are about helping children learn to love reading and discover a lifelong love of learning.

All of our volunteers receive training and on-going support, and we provide all resources for the reading sessions including books and games.

We ask for volunteers to give a weekly commitment, for a year (term time only- about 30 weeks).

Qualifications

None required- just a love of reading, good communication skills and an enthusiasm to help children!

Training

We provide all training, online via Zoom.
