Qualifications

  • Relevant industry NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification is required.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Teaching qualification.
  • Experience in the construction industry is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess Plastering Apprenticeship Standards.

Job Title: Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Plastering

Type of Business: Public Sector

Location: Rotherham, S63 7EW - with off site working

Salary: Up to £38,487 per annum including Market Force Supplement (dependent on quals/experience)

Contract: Full Time

GI Group are now seeking a dedicated and experienced Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Plastering, to cover a full time position for our Public Sector client. If you are passionate about education, skilled in plastering, and committed to supporting learners in achieving their goals, this is the role for you.

Duties
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Plastering Apprenticeship Standards for learners.
  • Provide engaging coaching and mentorship to apprentices, ensuring their personal and professional development.
  • Conduct on-site performance reviews and assessments to monitor learner progress.
  • Use e-portfolios and tracking systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of apprentices' achievements.
  • Work closely with employers to align training with current industry needs and expectations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with apprentices, employers, and colleagues to promote a positive learning experience.
  • Support learners in developing relevant knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for success in the construction industry.
Qualifications
  • Relevant industry NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or higher.
  • A1/V1/CAVA Assessors Award (or equivalent).
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain).
  • IQA Award is desirable.
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or be willing to undertake).
