A leading training organization in the UK seeks an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach to manage engineering apprentices and ensure their success in the program. This home-based role involves national travel, curriculum development, and direct interaction with apprentices and employers. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach to join MTC Training. This will be a home-based role with national travel.
MTC's vision is to develop a training capability that embeds adaptable knowledge, skills and behaviours to future proof UK manufacturing. Aligning technical content identified in MTC's core business to our apprenticeship and commercial (engineer upskilling) is at the core of our strategy.
As Apprenticeship Skills Coach, your role is to ensure apprentices receive support, guidance and encouragement to succeed in their apprenticeship programme. The role will bridge the gap between academic learning and practical workplace application with employers, and you will be involved in developing the new curriculum to ensure it is focused on industry practice and the learner journey.
We’re looking for an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach with a strong background and experience of engineering (mechanical or electrical or electronic; multi-skilled is preferable).
You’ll be a customer and quality focused coach, who can operate across all MTC Training and client locations. The position will suit somebody who’s approachable, and able to handle issues with sensitivity and confidentiality.
You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, working both independently with initiative and in a team. You’ll be articulate, with strong communication skills, good organisation skills and excellent attention to detail. A commitment to safeguarding and the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is essential.

The successful applicant will be required to complete safeguarding and Prevent training and undertake ongoing training related to children’s safety and wellbeing.
