A local government organization in Tees Valley is seeking an Apprentice Surveying Technician for a 2-year fixed term. Darlington Borough Council - Housing Surveying are seeking to recruit an Apprentice Surveying Technician on a 2 Year Fixed Term basis.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to learn and develop their knowledge. You must be confident with the use of IT and capable of navigating through MS Office, Outlook and have knowledge and skills in the use of databases and AutoCAD. You must be confident to work independently although support from the broader team is always available. We require dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking people to join our team; it is preferable that you have some experience of working in a person-centred environment or with older and more vulnerable client groups although full induction and ongoing training is provided.
You will gain valuable work experience working alongside the surveyors with a range of surveying tasks including producing specifications, schedule of works, managing contractors and site inspections.
You must also be willing to actively obtain a full UK driving licence within the duration of your apprenticeship.
During your apprenticeship you will be required to complete NVQ level 3 in Surveying Technician and attend Hartlepool College as required. You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to attend College and work towards completion of your apprenticeship qualification. The apprenticeship will allow you to gain skills, knowledge, and experience in all aspects of Surveyor work required to attend college to gain the necessary qualifications.
