At EGGER, our Electricians assemble, install, maintain and repair electrical installations, machines and equipment across our site. Whenever there is an incident or installation breakdown they are expected to respond rapidly and effectively.
As an Apprentice, you will undertake a comprehensive 4 year training programme to learn all the tasks required of a member of our Electrical Maintenance team.
You will spend your first year completing off site training (based at SETA in Washington - we provide transport for this) to achieve an apprentice standard qualification in Electrical Engineering, with the following 3 years spent on site supported by day release. During your training you have the opportunity to work towards an HNC qualificationfish.
During this time you will develop and maintain working knowledge of Siemens PLCs, whilst working on a range of projects and making short presentations on your progress.
For all our apprenticeships, we are looking for self-motivated learners with excellent interpersonal skills as you will be working with a range of departments. You will also need the following:
