Overview

This Apprentice Construction Operative programme blends personal and professional development and exposes you to the core of our business.

What you will learn
  • Ensure site areas are safe and accessible, maintaining regulatory, client, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare for water network infrastructure work – identify, obtain, and maintain plant, equipment, and materials.
  • Safely risk‑assess sites, excavate bitumen‑surfaces and install new تعد mains, water supply pipes, boundary boxes and meters.
  • Carry out water quality compliance checks to meet regulatory standards.

Your role will be to gain practical experience across a few teams, developing knowledge and understanding of Severn Trent and the processes. You will construct, maintain and repair water network infrastructure to provide a reliable supply to domestic, commercial and industrial users.
