Role: Applied Behaviour Analyst

About the Role

In this psychology-based discipline, you will use principles of learning and behaviour to support individuals in making meaningful, measurable changes. This involves:

  • Developing and implementing evidence-based interventions.
  • Reducing challenging behaviours, such as violence, self-harm, or disruptive behaviours.
  • Enabling prisoners to engage with the prison regime and unlock their potential.
  • Working collaboratively with the psychology team to guide and support operational staff.

Your expertise will contribute to a safer, more supportive environment that empowers both staff and prisoners, aligning with the vision of restoration and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess behavioural challenges and develop strategies to address them.
  • Create support plans that enable positive behavioural changes.
  • Train and upskill staff to implement these plans effectively.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and management of complex behaviours.
  • Support prisoners and staff in understanding the functionality of behaviour and its impact on rehabilitation.
Person Specification
  • Qualifications:
  • Registered and certified with UK-SBA or BCBA.

  • Completion of UK-SBA Supervision and Competence Standards (preferred).
