We are looking for an energetic, proactive and organised person to join the Translation Rights team at AM Heath as a Rights Executive
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least two years' experience in publishing, who is looking to take the next step in their career.
AM Heath is a tight-knit and supportive company. Our agency list covers a broad range of fiction, non-fiction, children's books & YA, and ranges from the most iconic authors of the 20th century, to the top ranks of literary and commercial success today.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, good commercial awareness, and a keen interest in the international markets. Our ideal candidate is someone who has experience negotiating rights sales and contracts, is an avid reader across a wide range of genres, and is keen to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, publishers, co-agents and scouts. Knowledge of other languages would be a plus.
The role will involve selling translation rights across several territories – both direct and co-agented – as well as some administration, including drafting contracts.
This is a full-time permanent position. The role is based at our London office for a minimum of three days a week, with the other two days either in the office or at home.
We are offering a salary of £28,000 - £32,000, dependent on experience.
To apply, please send your CV and covering letter to Alexandra McNicoll (alexandra.mcnicoll@amheath.com) by 31March 2023. We reserve the right to close the application process early if we have found the right candidate.
