An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Britten-Norman. Due to ongoing growth, we are now recruiting for an Aircraft Technician to join us at our Lee-on-the-Solent site.

As an aircraft technician you will perform aircraft maintenance, repair and modifications either at our home base maintenance facility or deployed at other locations across the world. Carrying out planned and reactive work in accordance with the regulation and our internal process and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will perform maintenance activity in accordance with the regulation and our process and procedures
  • Planned work may cover scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, refurbishments, major and minor modifications, repainting, prebuy inspection etc, unplanned work may cover AOG response, customer support, defect rectification.
  • Responsible for delivering the requirements to this standard in the required time and budget ensuring you complete the required documentation using our M.R.O software systems
  • Excellent written & verbal communications
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships and promoting open communication
  • Keen eye for detail and able to follow required processes.
  • Able to work well under pressure and achieve collective goals and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm to work in a growing company

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Aircraft engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Working in a similar role on light utility, unpressurised aircraft
  • Sheet metal work and airframe riveting
  • Fault identification, isolation, and rectification
  • Mechanical airframe modification
