Overview

Our client, a freight forwarder based in Colnbrook, is looking for an AOG Air Export operator. This is a 4 on/4 off night shift role.

Responsibilities

• Handling AOG / time sensitive shipments
• Export shipments via air / road according to customer requests (telephone / e-mail)
• Collation of export documentation: HAWBs / MAWBs / customs formalities / post flight / security procedures / routing of shipments / airline liaison / transport request and reporting / cross‑trade movements
• Export documentation – ensure AWBs are cut and completed in accordance with customer instructions and rated correctly per IATA / airline regulations
• Customs – ensure customs documentation complies with supplier instructions including IPR / OPR / export license entries
• Pre‑alerts / post flights
• Quotations

Ideal Candidate / Key competencies

• Must have minimum 3–4 years' experience, working on AOGs in an export department, in a freight forwarding company (aerospace, shipping, aircraft parts)
• Must be able to work under pressure & tight deadlines
• Comfortable working on their own
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good time keeping / attendance
• Computer literate
• Willing to cover opposite shifts/holidays from time to time
• Must be a car driver, due to location
