Job summary

A leading facilities management provider in Glasgow is looking for an Air Conditioning Engineer to manage HVAC maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will ensure efficient equipment performance and handle faults on HVAC systems, particularly VCRV air conditioning systems. Required skills include strong HVAC experience and an F-Gas qualification. This role offers progression opportunities and an on-call schedule after training.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in HVAC Maintenance.
  • F-Gas City & Guilds Qualification is required.
  • Recognized or Time Served Apprenticeship is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
  • Work with refrigerant and perform fault finding on HVAC systems.

Role
  • Identify and manage the risks to the client through the equipment on site, including identifying critical spares, improving performance of equipment, managing the environment conditions on site through the BMS system and running all equipment efficiently, improving and implementing the preventative maintenance program.
  • Using new equipment and technologies to maintain a working and comfortable environment liaising with the client on any requests for reactive and PPM tasks.
  • Fault finding on all types of HVAC equipment with a bias to the maintenance of VCRV air conditioning systems. Working with refrigerant and having the necessary qualifications in the handling of F‑Gas.
  • Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the Maintenance team.
  • Liaise with onsite Supervisor and Account Manager to manage any Building Services related issues, responding confidently and accurately as required.
Job Details
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am – 5pm with flexibility
  • Progression & upskilling for the right candidate!
  • On‑call schedule once trained.
