A leading engineering staffing provider seeks an experienced AI Comms Implementation Project Manager for a 6-month contract based in Greater Manchester. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of project management experience, particularly in AI initiatives, and will work closely with various business units to enhance organizational communications through AI. Responsibilities include implementing AI tools, driving prioritization of use cases, and leading training programs. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement and a competitive hourly rate up to £60/hr.

Qualifications

AI Comms Implementation Project Manager – 6 Months Contract – Didsbury, Manchester

Hybrid – waiting to hear if this role can be fully remote, but you will need to be UK based.

36 Hour week

Up to £60/hr Inside of IR35

Essential: 10 years experience as a Project Manager, expert within AI & be able to roll this out to my client’s corporate communications division. Experience of working for large Global companies. Managing transformation & change in an organization is also valuable. Ability to partner closely with the Head of AI Strategy for Global Communications & Head of Content & Storytelling. Closely collaborate with various communication leaders in the Business Units, Functions, & Regions to understand their processes & needs where AI can help accelerate, automate & amplify the work being done in the organization.

My client is looking for a Manchester-based AI implementation or Project Manager to join the Global Communications team. The person will help us scale & rollout Communications specific AI agents & processes that will help foster greater efficiency, creativity & outputs across all Communications capabilities - from external comms to content creation & data led decision making. The role will be for six months (with the possibility to extend depending on initiative progress & success).

Key roles & Responsibilities:
  • Governance & Structure: Deliver clear AI governance / guideline for Global Communications (with backing from the Global Communications leadership team); define a stakeholder map to support how Global Communications builds its AI roadmap
  • Use Cases & Prioritization: Drive prioritization of high-impact AI use cases across Global Communications, conduct immediate assessment of tailored AI tools, & develop a rapid implementation plan.
  • Implementation: Work with IT & communications colleagues to develop & implement agreed agents & workflows, while using agreed success metrics to inform further use cases.
  • Training & Upskilling: Define, lead & launch a training program in Q1 2026 to build fluency & confidence among colleagues, share knowledge & learnings, invite in outside perspectives on a quarterly basis to share insights from other organizations, & drive the mindset shift.
  • Change champions: Mobilize & lead a group of 'AI accelerators' & change champions in Global Communications to foster a culture of curiosity & collaboration, ensuring accountability & empowering colleagues to focus on high-value activities.
Skills:
  • Skilled project manager, with at least 10 years’ experience, ideally within large multinational organisations
  • Experience implementing AI initiatives at an organizational level
  • Understanding & comfort working with a global matrix organization
  • Familiarity & fluency working with IT & Corporate Communications; experience managing transformation & change in an organization is also valuable.
  • Ability to partner closely with the Head of AI Strategy for Global Communications & Head of Content & Storytelling
  • Closely collaborate with various communication leaders in the Business Units, Functions, & Regions to understand their processes & needs where AI can help accelerate, automate & amplify the work being done in the organization
